LAMBDA – Lakehouse-enabled AI‑ready Multi‑modal Bioimaging Data Architecture
LAMBDA is a Department of Energy (DOE) Biological and Environmental
Research (BER) supported research initiative that aims to develop a
cross‑facility, standardized data framework for all BER‑supported
structural biology and imaging resources.
The project seeks to integrate heterogeneous biomedical data sources into a unified “lakehouse” architecture that is ready for AI‑driven analysis.
Goals
- Define a common data model and metadata standards for structural biology and imaging datasets.
- Provide tools and pipelines for ingesting, curating, and sharing data across multiple DOE facilities.
- Enable AI‑ready, multimodal data access to accelerate scientific discovery and collaboration.
